Blues Brothers #5 - Chaps
Written by BluesNews
Sunday, 19 April 2009

In this episode of BB we go straight to the top and interview Club President Robert Chapman - aka Chaps. He's been with the club from day one right alongside Bruce Parker - and has put in a tremendous amount of work in building the club into what it is today. Chaps is a true club man in the sense that he's willing to do whatever it takes to make the club successful on and off the field. He's also one of the peeps behind our awesome website - probably the best in the league and we're not biased at all in saying that. In a special edition of Blues Brothers we delve into the Blues Hall of Fame and interview a former Champion player and now lifetime Central Blues supporter Torrey Young. He was one of the first few members of the Blues inaugural side in 2006. He won the Blues 1st ever Best & Fairest Award for his heroics in the Blues inaugural 2006 season. Young was also appointed Vice Captain in both the 2006 and 2007 season. Despite the fact that he's back in Australia Torrey remains an integral part of the Blues FC - having contributed to the forming of the culture of this magnificent organisation along with sharing his "Aussie" footy experience with his less experienced team mates. Young exemplifies the rapidly developing motto of "Once a Blue - ALWAYS a Blue" here at Centrals.
