The Blues gave the 08 premiers their biggest scare for the 09 season getting to within 20 points finishing fast in the final quarter. The game was arguably the best the Blues have played all year showing a glimpse of their true capabilities - following their coach's instructions to a tee the running Blues game plan was sensational to watch. Vice Captain Kien La and Knackers Dobson both played sensationally to claim the BOG and TC awards respectively. Disappointingly in the end a few undisciplined acts by Blues players (two 50m penalties resulting in Roos goals) allowed the Roos the opportunities that they needed in holding on for a 79-59 win on their homeground.

.jpg) Daniel Anderson shaking and baking The Central Blues suffered another heart breaking loss in their 09 season, this time against the undefeated 08 Premiers Etobicoke Roos. Kicking 4 goals 3 behinds against the Roos 2 goals 1 behind in the final quarter, the Blues came home with a rush in the final quarter only to fall short against the more-seasoned Roos. For the Roos - it was thanks to a big third quarter where they kicked 5 goals to the Blues 1. Worsening their chances for the Blues was some inexperienced and undisciplined free kicks given to the Roos. Three 50m penalties were awarded against the Blues - with two of them resulting in goals for the premiers. |

.jpg) Junior takes a mark deep in defence The Central Blues have rediscovered their winning form, defeating the High Park Demons 139-18 at the Humber North Football Ground. With the Blues backline and midfield firing on all cylinders all day - all there was left for the Blues forward line and offensive midfielders to complete was finish off in front of goal. And they responded in spades - with 10 goalscorers for the day. .jpg) Keno Lays one of his many tackles |
