The Central Blues have enjoyed their first ever victory over the Etobicoke Kangaroos, leaving the Toronto Eagles as the sole club in the OAFL yet to be defeated by the Blues. The Kangaroos, one of the strongest clubs in the OAFL in recent years have always dominated the Blues, regularly winning by 100+ points. So for many of the veteran Blues who have been the victims of countless Roo beatings, this win may go down as one of the clubs best wins to date. The win was especially satisfying given the fact that the Blues were behind all game and had to work hard to get back in it before running away with for the win the final quarter. Aussie Karl Lombardozzi was sensational all game claiming Best on Ground honours, while Riley Armstrong continues to put his hand up as one of the best Canadian rookies in 2010 playing on one of the league's most experienced forwards in Emile Studham and restricting him to 2 goals. Armstrong was awarded Top Contributor for his job on Studham. |
