In the Blues short history since entering the OAFL in 2006, the club has been fortunate enough to have been associated with some truly special characters. Following are some testimonials from former players who the club is tremendously proud to be able to call members of the Blues Family.
|I joined the Toronto Central Blues Australian Rules Football club in 2008 and enjoyed every minute spent with the team. As a player who came in with no experience, I appreciated the coaches and players who accepted me immediately and patiently showed me the the rules of the game and got me hooked. |
The Blues are hands-down the funnest group of guys in the OAFL. They are a competitive, social and caring team. I'd join them again if the opportunity presented itself.

What a great club, and an awesome bunch of blokes (and girls). The two seasons I spent with the Toronto Blues had such a positive influence on my whole Canadian experience, and I made some terrific lifelong mates along the way.
I still vividly remember my first training night in May 2008, all the guys made a point of introducing themselves, and by the end of the night I was amongst 20+ of them at a pub enjoying a feed and a few beers. This comaradery is even stronger on the field, and the results have shown with strong performances leading to some great finals victories. I know a flag is definitely within reach in the next season or two!

I couldn't leave this place without sending a quick note (quick in comparison to J-Mac's essays Campa) to say thanks to all of you lads for making my time in Canada memorable and one of the best experiences of my life.
The football experience in itself was amazing! This is the first Aussie Rules club I've played for but it is, without reservation, the best run club out of any code of sport I've ever played. The time and effort everyone puts into it shows not only on the field but in the underlying culture of the club. Well done to everyone involved.
Not only was it great for the football, but everything else the club does as a team. The trips, the nights out, the nights in, everyone makes an effort to bond with the players around them. I can honestly say I wouldn't have done half the things I have on this trip if it weren't for the Blues football club.
Thanks again boys, it's been an absolute pleasure.

Hello, hello my fellow Blues Family!
I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone from the Blues that have made my introduction and journey to Canada so special. My time in Toronto would have been nothing like it was without this football club. I've had the most tremendous time I could ever have asked for, to all of u... I thankyou so very much! I really struck gold in coming into this club. The honesty I felt in you guys welcoming me in was absolutely fantastic... I really appreciate how easy you made it for me to fit in. Thank You all a million!
Everyone... You've beeeenn teeerrifffficc!
Chris Liefting #43 (2009 Season)(VIC, Australia)
Being an Aussie in Toronto I had no intention of playing Aussie Rules, but I did turn out for the Blues in the inaugural season and had so much fun, there was no doubt that as long as I lived there I was going to associate with the Blues. What a great club due to the great guys involved and the attitudes that they bring to the party. Thanks for the good times, my wife and my time would not have been anywhere near as enjoyable as it was without the Blues.
Torrey Young #5 (2006-2008 Seasons) (NSW, Australia)
Joining the Toronto Central Blues Club in the summer of 2009 was by far the best sporting choice I have made. The sport itself is a combination of all the other great sports I love (Soccer, Football and Rugby) - It's sad I did not know about it before last summer. Not only have I learned a new fantastic sport I can be passionate about, I have also made fantastic Australian and Canadian friends. The team and the sport are the very definition of teamwork and sportsmanship. I enjoyed every aspect of the game and I look forward to playing it again soon. I would definitely recommend this sport to anyone I meet.
